iOS - window.open() opens in Chrome, but Chrome not showing back button about mobile-chrome-apps

Pete, I just tried this and it works for me. <a href='http://www.google.com' target='_blank'>Google</a> pops out to my android system browser (chrome). Is this specific to iOS?

I confirmed this works on iOS a while ago as well. I think the remaining bug with it though is that on iOS we're not setting enabling Chrome's back button to return to our app.

Still not solved after 5 years?!
Why Chromes behave differently on Android & iOS?
If I open a new window using window.open on Android the "back" button is enabled and clicking it will return me to the opener. However, on Chrome iOS the "back" is disabled.
On Safari it works normally as in android

Try with termux install nodejs 12 or latest version install and try using npm install --fix --force chrome....
