You should create the callback prototype function above the setup as in the examples.

You can see two places of callback functions, one is the prototype function above the setup and second is the real callback function that is placed below the loop.

In C/C++, the function should be defined before use.

I will make the code to be clean and easy to read by creating the prototype function on the top of the file to just declare it.
