To determine between App Store and non-App-Store .pkg, a new configuration XML file added inside MoonshineSharedCore/src/elements folder holding a singular value at this moment for this purpose. The configuration value is now updating during Ant build time; tested good when installed.

Auto-updater re-initiated in following cases:

  • Development version
  • Windows
  • MacOS non-App-Store version

Updater config file location is: http://moonshine-ide.com/wp-content/uploads/updater.xml. One can modify it's value and test the auto-updater feature.

In MacOS, unlike .dmg, it doesn't start auto-install when .pkg file downloaded. I shall look into this again, if this continue giving problem without an way out, we may need to display some message in screen asking to close and a need of manual re-installation.

MacOS version also works now well on re-installation part - in auto-updation.
