Not sure if surface pro 2 has a multitiouch driver.

Four finger gestures are blocked internally by gnome.

If four finger vertical gestures do not work for you out of the box then this extension will not work on your hardware unfortunately.

Not the same, but similar, so just wanted to comment. I have a 2011 Macbook Pro and installed Ubuntu 17.10 last week; gestures all worked, including extended gestures, however my "4 Finger" gestures were grayed out, same as in the pic. That is to say, that being grayed out doesn't in itself mean they don't work, I think it just means you can't change the settings of the 4 finger, for whatever reason.

Now I reinstalled again a few days ago and I'm having the same behavior as you, not functional for any gestures (though 2 finger scrolling and clicking works and occasionally a 3 or 4 finger gesture will work).

The four finger gestures should work, being greyed out means they cannot be changed becasue of how gnome works (for now).

Interesting that you are having issues after reinstalling. Are you running from git version or the gnome extension store version? There is an update in the store waiting to approved but it has taken a while

Well 2-finger scroll works in gnome so multitouch works on some level...
