This is unfortunate, but I'm not sure that much can be done. According to 973c1fa5701366eed3752666d6035454ae37712c, the lcms2 api was not thread safe before 2.6. It will still at least compile (without lcms) on 14.04.

if at some point anyone has link(s) to any docu on the issues with <2.6 maybe I'll try an SRU for 14.04 though it could be difficult because of number of affected packages.
Have been running 2.6 here on 14.04 with no apparent problems & didn't notice any sources being rebuilt for 2.6 on 14.10
