Do not use the directory name are nolatin language, something like korea, japan or india etc.
So you have use english directory name and it not happend python ascii code.

Seems like a waf bug. We're on an older waf version, can you check whether it happens if you use a newer one?

No, it's not the bug! It's waf and python are not support nolatin chractor code seems like "Téléchargements". If change the name english, it's not happen. The solutions is just command terminal # sudo vi /usr/lib/python2.7/sitecustomize.py import sys reload(sys) sys.setdefaultencoding('utf8') You just saved file and re compile! This is unrelated to the mpv-build scripts, but rather specifically to building mpv itself. If there's still a problem, please file a new issue at https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv .
