Is the new CID(baseEncodedString) constructor from js-cid not supported? about js-multiformats

The constructor in here is much more explicit than the js-cid form, and therefore tends not be called directly by users, instead there are static factory methods for interacting with it with other types of input. What you want is CID.parse(baseEncodedString) - more details @ https://github.com/multiformats/js-multiformats#multibase-encoders--decoders--codecs

There's also CID.decode(bytes), CID.decodeFirst(bytes), and other construtor-ish factories that require a little less than the main constructor: CID.create(), CID.createV0(), CID.createV1()
