Right now pressbooks works in that way. Everything is being exported fine. The problem comes when you need to import the chapter. Only the fields in the $meta_to_update variable can be imported.

After modifying pressbooks with this hook "pb_import_metakeys" the chapter metadata is now able to be transferred through exporting and importing. No need for future modifications as the chapters fields (meta_keys) are passed automatically to the hook by the database.
