I just saw that octogit had created a new directory with a git repository in it. I was already standing in a git repository. I don't know if you do anything to detect if the user is already standing in a git repository. That could be neat :)

@reynir I will definitely check to see if octogit is inside a repository before making the new repository, definitely useful.

As for the problem you described in the issue, I would say that happened because you were in a repo that had changes up stream which cause the prompt to appear.

Now, that being said, the way I wrote the octogit create, it creates a new clean repository and with all new repositories it needs to commit some file for it to have something to push. Which shouldn't cause any need for merges. It was probably due to the fact that you created your repository in another repository.

That being said if you can rewrite this issue or submit a new one that checks for the fact that your in a repo, I will most definitely implement that feature.
