The question is... Is it necessary to syntax highlight EasyList? Can save a cumulative ~0.5 seconds if we disable the background tokenizer.
The first paint is the most important, I'm not sure if it's worth losing syntax highlighting.
It definitely needs to be read-only mode though, can't afford re-tokenizing EasyList more than once. And changes don't save anyway, can be confusing.
