Manually editing my local copy of header.php so the href links for the tabs have .php works.

but manually changing every <a href="link" to "link.php" seems wrong. digging into php and css to see if there is default we can update to do this.

this is actually handled by htaccess and all you need to do is configure for mod_rewrite in your apache vhost file. This is working on my Pi and will be part of the released image when working. If you want to update your vhost file, I will paste the snippet. PS. Be careful using this version of code, it is not fully tested yet.
