Sorry about this, I think it is a new issue, as the demo used to work. I will look into it.

This turned out to be a mini typo in the demo app. Please test it again it is fixed now. Also on github: https://github.com/ncri/ajaxify_rails_demo_app

Thank you for looking into this. I will get around my situation by setting 'active' to false when initializing, but the point of this issue was not the demo site.
Ajaxify.activate(false) does not deactivate ajaxify as stated in the readme. It only works if I call it before initializing Ajaxify. If it's only intended to work that way, then the readme should be modified to prevent confusion. Thank you :)

Okay, I added a note to the readme explaining toggling Ajaxify. It actually also works after initialization. However it does not work when called after the DOM is ready. Thanks for spotting this.
