We shared a video in an email that describes our current user journey for creating versions of data for participants, locations and forms. We don't intend that it is the final version and we would like feedback to see where and how we can improve it.

We have discussed our strategy for handling the new conceptual approach for creating events. This came from the need to prevent repetitive tasks of uploading the same list of participants and forms and the ability to have flexible locations and administrative divisions. We are calling them sets. So we now have participant sets, location sets, administrative division sets and form sets. You can create a set for each of these objects and create or upload data for each; when creating an event, you can then specify which of these sets, you would like to use for the event. More on this will be provided next week.

Be able to export and import samples

@dodumosu as was discussed on Tuesday, this should become part of the participants import/export. the idea is that we should have separate columns for each sample and then have a non-null value (e.g. 1) that specifies whether that location that the participant is stationed is a part of the sample.

Locations should have XY coordinate fields

@dodumosu for now, let's make lat and lon float fields represent these values; until we figure out how to install postgis without a lot of cruft in the container.
