@ydaniv By external do you mean hosted online or as an external file? Would you be able to provide a very small reproducible example of what you're trying to do, expected result, actual result? Perhaps in the form of a gist.

Hey, by external I mean not system fonts, or any font that need loading onto the page.
After I opened this issue I already managed to use a Google font by adding a style tag inside a defs tag inside my svg.
And since that solved that, I guess any other solution would be out of scope for this project.

Ah ok. I thought you were having an issue with it actually not working. Yes, there's a few different ways to use such fonts in SVGs, but there's not much discussion to these libraries. It's designed to provide the same font support for SVGs as Chrome.

I'm not sure what the "best" approach is (e.g. for performance, simplicity, cross browser compatibility) but I recommend reading up on using fonts within SVGs in general. One of the unit tests actually embeds a font using a data URI.
