Sorry for the late response but this sounds interesting. The library was originally designed to care only about pixels as this was the easiest unit to support initially. That said, I'm open to pull requests that would implement this but the testing could be interesting.

I'm sorry for the incredibly long delay in replying in responding to you but life sometimes gets in the way of OSS development. I thank you for your patience and, although I'm closing this issue out, I hope you'll be glad to know that today's 0.6.0 release adds support for pt units. I'm open to a PR to add mm unit support too.
