I have managed to obtain my component instance through the Execution Context:
import { NestFactory } from '@nestjs/core';
import { BtcPriceModule } from '../../btcprice/btcprice.module';
import { BtcPriceService } from '../../btcprice/btcprice.service';
const BtcPriceProcessor = async (job) => {
const context = await NestFactory.createApplicationContext(BtcPriceModule);
const btcPriceService = context.get(BtcPriceService);
return await btcPriceService.fetch(job.data.currency)
.then(data=> Promise.resolve(data))
.catch(err=> Promise.reject(err))
}
export { BtcPriceProcessor }
This solution works fine for me, but I want to know if it is the best way to do it

Hi @cdiaz
At the moment I can't think of a better way to get access to the components. Your solution looks neat; I might add it as an example in the README 😉
I'll leave this issue opened for a while in case someone comes with another implementation.

Hi @fwoelffel thanks for your reply.
I found another implementation to solve it, declaring the application as a global variable within the namespace, so the context of the execution was not initialized in each iteration of the cron job.
I'm talking about this in this issue to known more opinions.

This has been answered there nestjs/nest#544 (comment) 😉
