In this case, when I get an error caused by the wrong configuration, it throws an UnauthorizedException
without any further information as the error is null and the user is false.
It was really frustrating when I got 401 without knowing anything and had no idea what I could do. Well, If you think it's a good way to override headleRequest
, I think it should be mentioned in the documentation. I hope everyone who's using this lib never run into any issue caused by their configuration.

The thing is I hope there is some information logged on the console.
Built-in (called "recognized") exceptions are not being logged to the console by default. You can either provide a custom exception filter (https://docs.nestjs.com/exception-filters) or override handleRequest
method.
