netkit-ng-core's Issues

Mount netkit-fs-i386-F7.0

Hi,

I'm trying to mount the filesystem netkit-fs-i386-F7.0 but it seems it does not contain a valid partition table:

root~:# /sbin/fdisk -lu netkit-fs-i386-F7.0
...
Disk netkit-fs-i386-F7.0 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Thank you for your help.

System appears not to be able to run the linux kernel

Even though I have configured the environment variables, I get this error. Where is it coming from? I don't really understand what it means.

*** Error: Your system appears not to be able to run the linux kernel.

[ ERROR ] Your system is not configured properly. Please correct the
above errors before starting to use Netkit.

Cannot start second console

There seems to be an issue with multiple consoles. Specifying in a lab.conf file the "A[con1]=xterm" directive does not raise an error, but does not open the second terminal on host A either.

Thank you
Claude.

Missing dynamic library dependency when calling vhalt

Issue reported by @bingel74

Another problem has occurred when I was testing if netkit was working properly: after starting a virtual
machine, when I stopped it with the command "vhalt -r pc1", this command did not work. I had to stop
the virtual machine sending shutdown command inside the virtual machine.

Build amd64 netkit-ng

It is needed because i386 needs more some i386 dependencies (see bug #8).

(and nobody cares about i386 support)
