Are you referring to the async client? you just have to add an appropriate handler:

# shutdown on graceful disconnect, reconnect if connection is lost
stomp.disconnected.addCallbacks(lambda _: reactor.stop(), lambda _: reconnect(stomp))

In order to understand how subscription replay and broker fallback works, you might also want to take a look at the documentation and the unit tests. This is a good starting point.
