I removed the eyes, I believe succesfully.

I'm experimenting with stripes, but making them nice is hard...

For the writing, I wonder if this is too much...

(it's a bit cold, don't know why colors in GIMP and browser have two different temperatures...)

But it is already too much for me, so I'd go for something simpler and more readable...

As a very rough idea: something along this lines:

I think for the green part we should add some leafs (as they are actually quite characteristic for pineapples); problem is of course that for your style you would need some 3D leafs to match the style .. still the stripes could be done "element by element" (if you know what I mean) ... another problem your baseline has in this respect: there is lot's of shadow (which in general is good, but hard to overwrite) (also, I think, maybe I should use two different types of "dark" to maintain the grid ...)
