Saving current UART0 baud rate to EEPROM as default baud rate about nodemcu-firmware

may be simply write it in init.lua with other config ? And module set it after any hard reset. Because init.lua executed any reset/restart.

yes, but we can't see NodeMCU welcome message and can't detect reboot event.

in the very early build, NodeMCU welcome message is printed after init.lua
but people don't like it, so I move this message before init.lua.... :(
to solve this, may be in init.lua, after setup uart. do a print("NodeMCU Welcome Message")

I can't seem to permanently change the baud rate using the above method. I tried both
=uart.setup(0,115200,8,0,1,1,PERMANENT)
and
=uart.setup(0,115200,8,0,1,1,1)
both changed the baud rate until the next reset or power cycle and then it returned to 9600.
I'm running NodeMCU 0.9.6.
Any ideas.

Set it in init.lua. Its not persistent.
