This is proving more tricky to fix without causing regressions than expected, so I'm leaving it for the moment. As long as you follow the examples and set min/max values and offsets that are harmonic it will not be a problem.

In fact, I might consider making the offset a function of the respective min levels of the main and mini maps and do away with the offset parameter entirely, which would eliminate this kind of situation.

Using your minimap in my plugin and also discovered this issue when trying to create layer maps. Would be great if there were a fix for this.

OK, I created a new example page and worked on this for quite a while.There is now logic in place that should handle these situations, both at startup when zoom is set in code and when the user creates them. However, I still think it's better to just set sensible values for min zoom and offset... 😉
