Added to https://github.com/NSCC-COGS/Aestheta/wiki/11.-Standards-in-Geospatial-Analysis. Google allows you to customize a hierarchy of feature types. However, some of those feature types contain subtypes that are not individually listed, but do have semantic value. For instance, you can see that wilderness areas in NS are darker green than unprotected areas with natural landcover.

At least the hierarchy gives us an idea of how someone at Google and familiar with the issue thinks, but we'll have to make some important conclusions on our own.
