Hi @qqilihq, you can't use stub together with chain. Instead you should use expect.
For example, for the case you mentioned you can do

Model.expects('findOne').chain('select').chain('exec').resolves(new Model({ foo: 'bar' }))

The expects works like a stub but you can also assert that method was called with that parameters doing

Model.verify()

Take a look to the tests to see how is supposed to be used.

Hi @antony, could you post an example of what you would like to do exactly?
This module extends sinon, so you can use all the methods it already has.

I am having the same issue and I am a little confused by the answer. Is stub supposed to work or not? Here's an example of what I'm trying to do:

 this.stub(Model, 'findOne').chain('select').chain('exec').resolves(new Model({ foo: 'bar' }))

Gives me: TypeError: this.stub(...).chain is not a function
