What's it do?

Uses masscan to scan the internet for Minecraft® servers, then uses Dinnerbone's mcstatus to grab the GameSpy3 data, cleaning up the process of doing it manually.

Tested with:

But why?

Purely because its easier to shorten the process by making it scripted, then I just cleaned it up for public release, so other people can have fun joining random servers.

The process usually goes like this:

  1. Scan ISP range.
  2. See players online in a server.
  3. Switch to the appropriate Minecraft® version.
  4. Join the server.

Various reactions ensue, from "Hello?" to...

Connection Lost

You are banned from this server.

Don't forget!

If you have the chance, inform the server owners that their home router (if applicable) has its port exposed to the internet, and should either close it, or use a whitelist.

Some people just forget, or don't understand what they are doing.

creeper's Issues

No issue just want to say

You gave me a scare when it tried to join my server luckily I had whitelist on. Now i want to look into this.

[Known Issue] Microsoft Account Login

Microsoft Account support is in the next update.
You can try adding it manually if you know what you are doing.

Currently waiting for either Microsoft to fix their broken authentication, or MCC to impliment a fix.

Microsoft Accounts with type=browser sometimes work, but type=mcc will not if you use 2FA, even if you create an app password on your account for legacy applications, it will not authenticate.

That being said, if you have experience with .NET/C# development.
See if you can help MCC impliment an authentication workaround, preferably with support for app passwords.
Even a cache for the Microsoft session would fix the broken scripting capability.

using --mcc fails to run MCC

Describe the bug
after every scan it attempts to use MCC to join the server but fails saying "Cannot open assembly 'MinecraftClient': File does not contain a valid CIL image."

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install creeper
  2. install latest MCC
  3. Type './creeper.sh example.0.0.0/8 --mcc'
  4. See error

  • Script Version v1.2.0.0

Additional context
someone had the same problem using MCC by itself MCCTeam/Minecraft-Console-Client#2106
the problem just seems to be MCC doesnt use mono to run anymore, MCCTeam/Minecraft-Console-Client#2106 (comment)
fixing this problem would also fix the other open issue with microsoft accounts since MCC supports ms accounts now
