@MichaelWhite63: Generally, you cannot use the Microsoft Graph to access on-premises Exchange servers. There is preview support for a very specific setup if you're on-premises Exchange servers are Exchange 2016 and you have a hybrid deployment with Office 365. You can find the details here:

Jason, Thank you for your response. The version of on-premise Exchange that my Node server needs to communicate with is Exchange 2013 CU19. Can you direct me to a page that contains instructions on how to build an API to read from an Inbox on that version of Exchange. Michael White

Exchange 2013 is accessible via Exchange Web Services (EWS). You can find those docs here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dd877012(v=exchg.150).aspx
