Looks like you may have the rose type setting as radius or area. Please see the documentation and check the properties on the component to ensure they are set appropriately. Here's a link to the pie chart documentation: https://ogcanviz.github.io/ChartComponents/#/pie

Thanks for your answer, apparently the problem is due to the regional configuration of powerapps studio, I am writing to you from South America. It would be possible that you can share the msaap file with me so that I can import it from the canvas, thanks.

You're welcome. Interesting. Here's the link to the file.

Hey, I faced the same issue. I imported the *.msapp in the components section. Unfortunately I see exactly the same image as posted by JhonnyHV.
Is there maybe any problem on Powerapps which use the Formular Style with ";" instead of "," like you mentioned in the documentation?

I played arround a lot and still didnt get a good looking chart ....:(

Hello @djproductions are you also using the South American regional settings?

from chartcomponents.

djproductions avatar djproductions commented on August 29, 2024

I use the region "Europe" for my environment where I did my tests

from chartcomponents.

TBag avatar TBag commented on August 29, 2024

Can you try in another region? We're trying to understand the issue better and knowing which regions it does and does not work in will help us figure it out. It's working for me in the United States English region settings in Edge.

@JhonnyHV Did the MSAPP file fix the issue for you?

djproductions avatar djproductions commented on August 29, 2024

You mean setting up a new environment which is located in another region? Or how can I change the region settings to United States English to test it with your settings?

TBag avatar TBag commented on August 29, 2024

Hmm, more to think about.

I was actually thinking it might be related to your browser regional settings. I'm not really sure what might be causing the issue so trying to gather as much information as possible.

I had not considered it could be the Power Apps region too.

To change Edge browser settings I follow the process they discuss in this thread. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/forum/edge_other-edge_win10/microsoft-edge-changing-region/8d5c4758-6fd8-42ac-a45b-82d4d3f12b5c

I will give it a try later one ;)

My first guess why the error happens was that maybe the different formular semantics affects the charts. Because I wrote Formulars in Powerapps like: IF("A" = Label1.Text; true;false);;Navigate(Screen1)

And you on your Doku use most of the time "," instead of ";"

TBag avatar TBag commented on August 29, 2024

OK, cool. Looking forward to seeing what you find. If you can provide instructions/code sample to reproduce the error we will take a look too.

Hi @TBag
I have the same issue, but not only with the pie chart.
Actually I am trying to create a stacked bar chart, but the chart is not rendered correctly on all devices and browsers. It does not seem to be limited to a specific platform. Is this a known issue?

We are about to release a new version of the component. We hope to release it in the next couple of weeks. We have not seen this behavior in the current or new release. If you can provide instructions/code sample to reproduce the error we will take a look.

mni-holion avatar mni-holion commented on August 29, 2024

Okay cool. :)
It happens when I follow your own code example for the bar chart as well.
On my own PC it looks good, but on some devices it wont render correctly - for instance in a chrome browser on an older MacBook, but also on a relatively new Android phone. On most devices it looks good though.
Hopefully, the new release will fix the issue. :)

Hi @TBag
A quick update. As with JhonnyHV, this is clearly a problem related to the regional settings of the device from witch you are using the app. If I open the app on my Phone with Danish (Denmark) settings, the chart won't render correctly and will look like the image I posted previously. However, if I change my phone settings to English (United States), the chart looks perfect on the same device.

TBag avatar TBag commented on August 29, 2024

@mni-holion Thanks for verifying the behavior. This is sounding like a bug in Power Apps to me. Let's see how it works when we release the new version. If we still see the issue I'll reach out to our friends on the Power Apps team.

Hi @TBag
Any news regarding the new release? :)

from chartcomponents.

TBag avatar TBag commented on August 29, 2024

We've been working on finishing our updates to all the components. Still not there yet. There's so much to update between the code and the docs, it's quite an effort.
