Thanks, I'll dig a bit more tomorrow. Maybe search for others who have similar compiler issues with Ruby extensions. Note that the first error is with the ruby intern.h file. Thats a good indication something is off with the environment. We just have to figure out what.

Do you have build-essentials installed? It looks like some of the sodlib header files are missing.

Not sure what is going on then. It's clear the header don't have the normal functions. I wonder if it is a compiler version issue. What compiler version do you have?

Okay so I purged my old ruby installation, and installed ruby 2.6.5p114 using ruby-install

$ gem install agoo
