I had this error when attempting anonymous upload, but when I linked screencloud to a new imgur account it succeeded, so this might be a workaround for others.

I've updated the imgur plugin for the new version (1.1.3). Do you still get this error?

Upload to imgur without imgur account works now. Thank you. But with this new version I have an issue with "Capture selection". Will look into this more at home and eventually open an ticket
