Fixed with 0.7 release which doesn't build the tree at startup.

Wasn't incompatible w/ Mac but wasn't very good at giving the user messages. Was crashing due to some issue trying to build the tree. Fixed by not building the tree until after the app started and you initiated an action which forced it.
