This sounds familiar -- especially the talk about freezing the fly over in the title screen.

If so, it's an original problem too -- and the cause is unknown / i don't believe anyone has found a consistent way to reproduce it. The theory used to be something happening inside mars tomb, but if it happens in eco wells (and potentially the timer can help it happen) maybe we can figure it out.

Yup, the fly-over looked exactly like that, but my title screen (and subsequent menu) showed up fine after I skipped it. I saw another clip where the cutscenes froze mid-play, but I wasn't sure if they were being skipped manually when that happened or timing out on their own, and no mention of the communicator being impacted.

I'll let you know if I encounter another or manage to replicate it consistently. I wouldn't be too surprised if this resolved naturally as the decomp continues, tbh.

The decompilation for jak 2 has been finished, so being as it seems like it's an original bug -- we'd have to track it down and fix it. It's very rare on console so hopefully the same is true for us, atleast in the meantime.
