I created a new "Forum" page (https://bluehorizon.network/documentation/forum) and redirected every page on the site that referenced Discourse so they instead point to that page instead. I have not yet been able to change the "Forum" link in the menu along the top of the window, but I have a question in to Varatep about that and will fix when I can. Once that last link is changed we can take the Discourse pages offline if we want because they will be completely disconnected from the BH site at that point.

There is a change in strategy after encountering problems with direct-to-prod approach. So all changes made so far have to be re-done on the staging site and promoted. Also got more clarity today from Egan on the work that is required for this task. Will post details on that shortly.

Discourse site

  • - make it read only
  • - add an overlay or note directing people to WIoTP Edge and open-horizon

Map Page

  • - keep dynamic map site but disconnect it from the web site (Bruce's request)
  • - follow up with Bruce on why keep we need to keep the map
  • - static map page will have screen shots and explanation of what the old map was

Landing Page (requires code changes)

  • N/A- Forum links (menu and in body) will point to "/forum" page, not discourse site
  • - Map link (in menu) will point to new "/documentations/map" page, not map site
  • - remove old stuff at the bottom of the landing page (image flash directions, etc)
  • - add an overlay or prominent note to say the experiment has ended
(and directing them to WIoTP Edge, and open-horizon)
    - note contents:
    * Blue Horizon experiment officially ended Dec 31, 2017
    * thanks to all for participating
    * code is available in open-horizon, and is still being developed
    * also released as an IBM offering now (link)
    * link to roadmap, vision stuff

Keystone content:

  • - left menu changes
  • leave mostly untouched (just minor corrections, e.g., remove Whisper):
  • + Blog
  • + FAQ
  • + Events
  • + Reactions
  • + External References
  • + Core Technologies
  • add new page for:
  • + Project History
  • remove following links and add those links to History page:
  • + Discovery
  • + Forming Agreements
  • + Edge Compute
  • + Edge Insights (just remove)
  • + Insights on Horizon
  • + What will Horizon do on your Device (just remove)
  • update to be correct for V2.0:
  • + Introduction
  • + About Horizon
  • rename to Raspberry Pi Troubleshooting
  • + Troubleshooting
  • redirect each of the PoC links one-by-one as they migrate to WIoTP pages
  • + SDR-FM: Speech Analytics with IBM Watson
  • + SDR Aircraft Tracker
  • + SDR Radio Spectrum Analysis
  • + NetSpeed
  • + Aural
  • + Personal Weather Station
  • + PurpleAir: Air Quality Monitoring
  • + GPS Location
  • provide new PoC links:
  • + New page with a simple menu for the PoCs (similar to old Insights on Horizon page)
  • migrate this to the open-horizon pages somewhere:
  • + adding your device
(then link this menu item to that new page)
  • remove
  • + Getting Help
  • entire site
  • - change all cross-links throughout the site as a result of above changes
