I am working on a python test suite that replaces the shell script based tests, but otherwise doesn't change much. The tests are really a regression test that doesn't test for regression. :) But it's still a good start IMHO. I will submit a pull request when I have them working completely.

Okay, I merged in updated python-based tests, but the tests could certainly be expanded. I added a TODO file with several items in it.
Please check it out. Run test-open-iscsi.py in the test subdirectory (as root). It takes hours ...
