Yeah, that's the first thing we're going to investigate. Lots of updates to CPS between version 2.1.0 and version 2.2.0.

If these issues are still seen in 2.2 then we're going to need to devise and roll out some fixes.

Hi @dimbleby, thanks for filing these issues. Can you also tell us what version of OPX you're running? Via the "opx-show-version" command. It should show the software version as well as what platform you're running.

Note that OPX 2.2.0.0-dev2 is the latest build of OPX, and the official OPX 2.2.0 release should be out at the end of the month.

I saw from another issue that you're using OPX 2.1. Still would be useful to know what platform you're using.

Yes, 2.1. I'm using the OPX VM mostly, but we've seen the same on hardware, which reports itself as follows:

root@OPX1:~# opx-show-version
OS_NAME="OPX"
OS_VERSION="2.1.0"
PLATFORM="S6000-ON"
ARCHITECTURE="x86_64"
INTERNAL_BUILD_ID="OpenSwitch blueprint for Dell 1.0.0"
BUILD_VERSION="2.1.0(0)"
BUILD_DATE="2017-08-04T12:01:19-0700"
INSTALL_DATE="2017-08-17T22:53:49+0000"
SYSTEM_UPTIME= 1 week, 3 days, 7 hours, 4 minutes
SYSTEM_STATE= degraded
UPGRADED_PACKAGES=no
ALTERED_PACKAGES=yes

Is there reason to think that 2.2 already has fixes for some or all of these? That'd be great if so!

Hello @dimbleby,
Those two fields are also not reported on 2.2.0. I'm assuming you use 'observed' as your qualifier. I'll do some more digging to find out why it's not reported (I don't see a reason why it shouldn't, but maybe there is). If there is no reason why, I'll add that in as the output for the query. Will keep you posted.

For the "description" attribute, a textual description of the interface should be available (which is optional) so that it can print the output.

Quick update --this is fixed, the change will be sent out for code review shortly.

As mentioned above "description" is optional, so not treated as priority item.
