It seems to be an issue with windows system.
Try to use this command : node server.js (it worked for me).

npm install -g win-node-env

Hi all, i also faced this issue and solved it by using npm cross-env package (npm install --save-dev cross-env)
=> https://github.com/kentcdodds/cross-env
