At least in ol/webgl/Helper buffer cache is never cleared (until the whole layer is disposed) , new buffers are added and added.. This is very likely related to memory consumption.

Any change in "transform" state leads to new buffers are added to the cache.

Hey,

I think you have a very good point. I have looked for many ways to improve memory but didn't even think of the buffer cache. This might be easy to solve by using a WeakMap, would you be able to try and look into it? Thanks!

So I did some experiments using WeakRef and it's very promising, I will create a PR if I manage to get it to work correctly
