Additionally, Java agents will need compilation, which will likely require independent Java source managers to avoid contaminating the XPages compiler pool.

i would like to +1 this.
It would help a lot with SCMs to have (almost) human-readable files.

It looks like LotusScript in forms and agents is good by default, but Java agents will need special handling. Essentially, they will indeed need to each have their own Java source file manager like the XPage side does, but including their embedded and script-library dependencies, which will be a chunk of work.

I believe that only Java agents (and web services?) remain, now that I fixed the trouble with image resource, etc. metadata files.
