So one of my biggest pain points with status pages is how hard it is to automate the monitoring of third-party systems that my product relies on.

Let's say I'm using a third-party email service. When their email delivery fails, it can affect my app in various ways. It often takes some time, and a few angry users, before I get wind of it, investigate, and realize that the problem stems from the third-party service, and finally get around to notifying my users via our status page.

Still, it's common for these third-party services to have their own status pages, where they typically log incidents as they occur.

Considering that, I think it would be fantastic to have a super easy method of monitoring and reflecting incidents from third-party status pages (regardless of whether they're using OpenStatus or another system).

To come back to the email service example, in the perfect setup, I would simply add an external status page URL (from a supported list of providers) and be able to create an "Email" component on my status page.

Thoughts?
