Splitting out the storage between many keys does seem like a good idea. With ember-orbit for instance you could have a key per record.

My inclination is to start by just providing the option to store data by type, rather than per record. I'm not sure how performant per record storage would be, plus it would probably require a central index of records per type. So let's start simple :)

The LocalStorageSource now stores info by record.
