On the other hand, for now the startup/install scripts are quite similar, and both systems have similar requirements (python, bitcoind, bitmessage installed).
Ultimately, we'll split the repos probably, but for now it's much easier to keep them as they are.

I can see that split is beneficial, but for now both client and oracle uses shared codebase. I have no idea how to tackle that issue with splitting repos?

Yeah, I think the recommended way is to use submodules, but it's probably too much of a hassle as of now. Once the client and oracle are two defined products we can look more into it
