This sounds like either a compiler error or memory corruption from code outside of this module that uses unsafe or cgo.

Also, it looks to me like you might be closing the database before you read from it. This may cause a panic as well.

You are right.
Removing the defer db.Close() fixed the issue, thank you :)
Maybe there would be a way to check if the file hasn't been closed to return an error or a more explicit panic ?
