There are two ways for starting JOSM with the freshly built plugin:

  • runJosm starts a clean instance independent of any other JOSM versions already installed. This does not require JOSM to be installed
  • installPlugin installs the plugin for the JOSM version that is already installed on a machine and that is on your PATH as josm

runJosm is provided by the gradle-josm-plugin, installPlugin is a custom task for this repository that more or less already existed before my contributions. I changed it to automatically activate the plugin (had to be done manually before), which at the moment requires to start a josm instance.

Cool, I'll add a PR tomorrow adding that to the readme. Thanks!
