Not sure I understand your question. When you delete an image, that entry is marked as no longer occupied on disk. At that point, you may want to release any images that you've already created for the given entity + format.

In fact when I ask FastImageCache for the image after deletion FIC send me back the previous image. I have look into the code and it seems that the FICImageTableChunk
instances aren't deleted from memory in:
- (void)deleteEntryForEntityUUID:(NSString *)entityUUID {
if (entityUUID != nil) {
[_lock lock];
NSInteger index = [self _indexOfEntryForEntityUUID:entityUUID];
if (index != NSNotFound) {
[_sourceImageMap removeObjectForKey:entityUUID];
[_indexMap removeObjectForKey:entityUUID];
[_occupiedIndexes removeIndex:index];
NSInteger index = [_MRUEntries indexOfObject:entityUUID];
if (index != NSNotFound) {
[_MRUEntries removeObjectAtIndex:index];
}
}
[_lock unlock];
}
}

Do you have a sample app I could debug?

Without additional info, there's nothing I can do here. There is no memory cache, so I can't explain what you're seeing.

Sorry I couldn't provide sample code for the moment.
I thought that FICImageTableChunk
purpose was to keep image chunks in memory, given that I did not see any code to delete those chunks, I thought that the issue I was facing came from that.
I will try to post sample code later or maybe a PR if I have time to do it.
