I was thinking about providing a command-line that extracts the downloaded file into vendor/, etc, but I'm not sure about it. First I didn't manage to make unzip work with curl output piped into it, and I was wondering if it wouldn't bother the user who just wants the download link, or if there are files already in the vendor dir. So I just let the download link as is.

@youbs the zip download and extraction of the downloaded zip into the vendors dir should be part of the composer-cli integration (which is one of the long termin goals of this project, if I read the projects readme correctly).

I think this is something which needs to be done in the future after the composeraas itself stabilized a bit.

@staabm totally agree a composer update/install --whatever using the website would be a killer feature and is the goal, I started to work on a API, I will share something this weekend hopefully

Yes you're right, it should totally be part of the cli (that's even the first thing I thought when Pascal announced the project). But why would it be incompatible with this feature request?
Do you mean we should just provide the raw link? in that case I'm totally ok with that

I am not sure if I got your request.. Why should a user want a download link?

Oh that's just a field with the url (the same as the big download button) where you can click on an icon to quickly copy the content into you clipboard (exactly the same as the one on the homepage of a github project where you can copy https://github.com/pborreli/composer-service.git for exemple)

Click on the GO button here: http://hm-feat-copyurl.youbs-composer-service.stage1.io/ It's juste the field that show up at the end, nothing more
