For me, /dev/input/js0 is player 2 and /dev/input/js1 is player 1. Other than that, it works.
I connected two SNES pads via a trimmed IDE cable and an SNES console front part with the controller plugs to the GPIO.
I've made absolutely sure that my wirings are correct. I attached the player 1 data to P1-05 (GPIO 3) and player 2 data to P1-07 (GPIO 4). (reference: http://elinux.org/RPi_Low-level_peripherals#General_Purpose_Input.2FOutput_.28GPIO.29 )
I installed SNESDev-RPi with the install option in RetroPi-Setup.

Ok, the source code says P1-07 is player 1 and P1-05 is player 2. If this is correct, the description in retropie-setup.sh:1500 is wrong.

I have updated main.c by swapping the pin assignments. I decided it this way to keep up the same assignment as the gamecon module.
