Yeah, i've experienced that too. Making the scroll behavior configurable is reasonable. Or we could try to implement some "smart" scrolling so that the user always ends up looking at an interesting part of the output. Want to submit a PR?

I'm happy to take a stab at it. I'll just do configurable to start. It would be awesome to have it scroll to the top of the first error (or at least configure it to do so).
