Hi @ezramoore, I'm investigating your problem.
Thanks.

from mobile-ios.

patricksan avatar patricksan commented on July 20, 2024

Just re-test the installation via TestFlight.
Next release should be okay.

ezramoore avatar ezramoore commented on July 20, 2024

The problem remains with version 2.0.

Just re-send another build to you.

Please, give a try.

Thanks,
Patrick

Still not working. Problem could be on my end, I imagine you have other users using iOS5?

Thanks for your hard work!

@ezramoore, I received an email from TestFlight, could you try to do that:

Message from TestFlight:
From: dan kuba
Subject: Unable to Download Application

Patrick,

It would help a ton if you could get us a console log from at least one of the devices where the install fails (more if you can), as well as a link to the Build Report page for the build you're having this problem with. Here's how to get the console log:

1. Download iPhone Configuration Utility (http://support.apple.com/kb/dl851)
2. Open iPhone Configuration Utility
3. Connect Device
4. Clear console logs
5. Open the install email, touch install
6. After the unable to download occurs, save the crash log and send it to us

You can find the Build Report by clicking on 'Reports' underneath the build you're experiencing this with.

Thanks,

Dan

Usually we see messages from profiled or installd in the logs for failed installations.

If it isn't - can you clear the log on the device, then go from "open email" or "open webclip" to "get failed to install message", save that log, and send it in?

from mobile-ios.

ezramoore avatar ezramoore commented on July 20, 2024

Absolutely, I will do this tomorrow.

Have a good night!

@ezramoore,

Question from TestFlight:

// Add your reply above here

From: Luke Hutscal
Subject: Unable to Download Application

Hi Patrick,

Are these users on iOS 5? If they are - when they upgraded, did they restore from an existing backup of their device?

Luke

Could you give me these details?

from mobile-ios.

patricksan avatar patricksan commented on July 20, 2024

@ezramoore, TestFlight identified a problem in the iOS5 for provisioning. They are working on that.

from mobile-ios.

ezramoore avatar ezramoore commented on July 20, 2024

I did restore from a backup. Shall I try a fresh restore or sit tight
while they fix provisioning?

Thanks,

Ezra

Some tips:

  • check if your customer mobile is using iCloud. It seems to have problems with it
  • check if his device is correct set on Testflight

If it does not work, you can open a support ticket with TestFlight.
