What path did you put in the streamlink_helper.json? sounds to me as if Windows tries to execute it, but can't find anything executable there. If you want you can attach the setup files and their location as well as the contents of the registry tree under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\NativeMessagingHosts\streamlink_helper and I can double check it for you.
