In fact, I was thinking about switching to uWS because of performance, Socket.IO does to much IMHO.
If you've got some problem on Windows, perhaps you should consider using Docker, the beta for Windows and OSX works very well.

I thought about uWS as well, but sadly it doesn't compile on Windows yet.
