looks like the first step, but the real complexity here will be ensuring that the changes are "sticky", especially across restarts of the bot (which on Heroku happen regularly, albeit somewhat unpredictably). Stickiness will probably require the bot to submit a PR to this GitHub project, with the updated configuration file...
